I'm writing this on Feb 13th, and the membership is coming to an end in few months.
1st Complimentary night I wanted to redeem  in August 2017, for my holiday in Bali. I reserve in Sofitel Nusa Dua, but it wasn't available. So I redeem another holiday membership to get 3D2N free stay in Djayakarta Hotel. It was a pleasant trip I might want to share later :)

So, Bali trip failed me to use my Accor hotel membership.

in October, my friend and her family asked me and my husband to be their guide for their first international trip to Singapore. Instead of visiting 1 country, I advised new experience, visiting 2 countries in one trip. So we went to Malaysia and Singapore.

in KL, we stayed in Novotel. The hotel is in the heart of the city, near the mall, and we experienced a great stay. Kids love the pool, adults enjoy the gym and the shower that's provided for those who already checked out but need to clean themselves for the next destination.
This where I redeem my 1st complimentary night.

I told you that I had 2 complimentary nights right?
I did not redeem in Singapore on that trip. Instead, I used it on my India trip this January.
Yes, India. And this time, I redeemed it in Sofitel _ Haha. The kind of hotel I wont book on my own budget. LOL

Had a remarkable experience staying here. Too bad I couldn't experience the swimming pool because we need to catch a long ride to Panchgani.

The 6 breakfast coups weren't redeemed in those 2 hotels. I redeemed that during the end year company meeting. All six of them to please the 12 pax team mates who travel together in Bandung. 

Sharing this experince, got me missing the holiday, LOL

Chapter II: Precondition Your Mind To Success

You can precondition your mind to success. This is a basic principle of positive thinking. You can actually forecast what your future failure or success will be by your present type of thinking.

It doesn't matter who you are or how often you've failed. Neither does it matter how old you are. Successful living can always be yours.

4 principals of successful living:

1. It's important to define what success means to you. Define your goal clearly, pinpoint it. Be sure that your goal is in harmony with God's desires for you. 

2. Paint a picture of yourself as succeeding - 

3. Bring God into a central place in your thought pattern. 

4. Learn to share.

Reading the above sentences, here are some of my reflective thoughts: 

Seberapa sering kita saling mengingatkan tujuan mengapa kita sama-sama berada dikelas - belajar? 

Seberapa sering kita mengajak kelas kita memejamkan mata bersama, membiarkan imajinasi membawa angan kita pada hal-hal yang memberikan kebahagiaan di masa depan kita? 

Seberapa sering aktifitas dalam kelas kita disambungkan dengan Tuhan dalam segala dimensi-Nya? 

Seberapa sering kelas kita saling berbagi? 

Seberapa sering kita memberi jeda - di sela belajar kita - untuk terdiam sejenak, menikmati kebingungan dalam memahami, atau sekedar merayakan moment Eureka?

Chapter 1: Does Positive Thinking Always Work?

Bismillah..

This writing is written after I finally finished reading "The Amazing Results of Positive Thinking" that was written by the author of "The Power of Positive Thinking", Norman Vincent Peale.
The book I read was the "result book", it's a compilation of stories of men an women who practice the power of Positive Thinking.  During the time of reading, I relate the stories in so many ways, including in my daily job as a teacher trainer.

Starting with this one, I will write my own words with the help of the stories I've read from the book.
I hope to ignite more positive power from the teachers, so that more positive thinking and actions were taught. And please remember, that each of us is a teacher and also a student at the same time.

"Does Positive Thinking always work?"
Of course it does; positive thinking will work if you are willing to work at it. It is not an easy discipline. It takes hard work and hard belief. It takes honest living, and a strong desire to succeed. And you will need to keep working at it constantly to achieve success in applying positive thinking. Just when you believe you have mastered it, you will have to develop it again.  

Through out these 14 years of  teaching and training experience, I have met many people in the education field. Of course. Some are fully dedicated, some are forced, some are in the field for many many years, yet still feeling astray and not belong to.
Teaching takes hard work and hard belief, yes, because some time you don't really reap what you sow. You have to wait, weather to see it succeed or to see it failed. You might agreed, you might not, and it's fine.

Let's take this to our teaching class:
Each time we think we are not fortunate enough with the students we have in our class, in our school, whether it's their learning ability, the economic status, the background complexity, or whatever our complain will be. Remember that each of these students is a unique individual that needs our Positive Power to let them unleash theirs.
Be grateful of them.

7C - 7 Keahlian Abad 21

Berawal dari profesi sebagai pelatih guru, dan tergabung di perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pendidikan, saya belajar (dipaksa belajar terus) oleh keadaan yang semakin cepat berubah.

Datang dan berbicara pada guru yang sudah bertahun-tahun mengajar, tidak bisa hanya datang dan menyuguhkan hal baru - misalnya meminta mereka mengajar menggunakan alat teknologi yang mungkin baru saja mereka lihat fisik alatnya. Jangankan mengajar menggunakan alat itu, memegangnya saja mungkin masih bergetar saking asing nya benda itu.

Pembicaraan musti dimulai dari akarnya; perubahan.

Tapi, postingan kali ini hanya akan membahas tentang Keahlian Abad 21 yang gencar disuarakan meski saat saya menulis postingan ini, Abad 21 sudah menginjak tahun ke-15.

Keahlian Abad 21 ini dianggap penting untuk dikuasai oleh mereka yang produktif dan ingin tetap bertahan tanpa terpinggirkan di abad 21 ini.

Menurut beberapa sumber, Keahlian abad 21 ini secara internasional dikenal dengan istilah 7Cs. Tujuh C ini bisa dilihat sebagai berikut:

1. Critical Thinking and Doing - didalamnya terdapat komponen keahlian penting seperti: kemampuan memecahkan masalah, melakukan penelitian, menganalisa, dan mengelola proyek.

2. Creativity - Kreatifitas ini termasuk penciptaan pengetahuan baru, mampu memberi solusi terbaik sesuai keadaan, dan juga kemampuan untuk "menceritakan kembali" dengan penuh seni.

3. Collaboration - Setiap kali ada kata kolaborasi, saya selalu teringat kata-kata Doraemon, si kucing ajaib abad 21 yang bilang: "satu tambah satu lebih baik dari satu". memang segala hal jadi lebih mudah ketika dilakukan bersama-sama. Ya toh?

4. Cross Cultural Understanding - terjemahan yang paling dekat untuk frase ini adalah Pemahaman antar Budaya. Karena hasil pemikirian kritis dan kreatifitas yang menghasilkan beragam teknologi baru terutama dibidang transportasi dan informasi, kita menjadi lebih mudah untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang lain, berkolaborasi dan bekerjasama dengan mereka yang berbeda latar suku bangsa, bahasa dan budaya. Saling memahami budaya satu sama lain akan memudahkan proses kerjasama dan meminimalkan salah-paham yang mungkin terjadi.

5. Communication - penekanan kemampuan berkomunikasi disini jadi lebih luas; tidak hanya sekedar kemamouan berbicara kepada orang lain, tapi juga kemampuan berkomunikasi dengan berbagai bahasa, dan juga berkomunikasi melalui perangkat teknologi apapun :)

6. Computing / ICT Literacy - kemampuan untuk mengoperasikan sudah menjadi syarat mutlak abad 21, karena melalui perangkat ini, hal-hal baru ditemukan dan dikembangkan. Ada yang mau menambahkan pendapat lain?

7. Carreer and Learning Self-reliance - kata kunci disini adalah self-reliance atau di Bahasa Indonesia dapat diartikan sebagai kemandirian. Saat ini, kata kemandirian ini didampingi oleh "karir" dan "belajar" yang artinya, kemampuan untuk mandiri dalam berkarir dan belajar, sangat menentukan eksistensi seseorang.


Yuk! semangat belajar dan mengembangkan diri tanpa henti, dan mari bersama kita ciptakan pendidikan dan lingkungan yang mendukung 7 keahlian ini untuk tumbuh dan berkembang di masyarakat kita :)

Scuba Diving for Hijabers - Trainer holiday in Bali :D

Here I'm again!

Haha, lagi nafsu ni nulisnya, jadi jangan disia-siain ya ;p

Posting sebelumnya kan cerita waktu tiba-tiba aja berubah haluan dari mau weekend di Jogja, jadi akhirnya ke Bali, cek cerita nya disini ya: http://trainerabad21.blogspot.com/2014/12/yaiy-bali.html

Nah, di Bali kan wisata pantai nya tuh yang Juara, ga seru donk kalo ga ikutan Watersport nya :)
Jadi deh hari kedua kita rental motor di tempat rental motor sekitaran hotel.
Harga sewa motor nya Rp. 60rb aja, dapet Yamaha Xeon taun 2010, lumayan masih greng. Oiya, dapet helm nya juga, jadi ga perlu khawatir di emprit pulisi ;p

Berbekal Google Maps, kita bedua (me and my husband) nekat ke Tanjung Benoa pusatnya water sport. Sebelumnya, kita browsing dulu di Om Google, nanya-nanya berapa harga, kalau nanya-naya offline di gerai-gerai PADI itu, harga Scuba Diving paling murah 550rb per orang, waaah, manteb juga harganya ya.

Jadi kita siasatin deh.
Banyak situs yang menawarkan water sport, bisa langsung datang onsite, atau pesen voucher lewat website nya. Ternyata, memang dunia nya udah digital ya bo, lebih  murah kalo kita pesen voucher online.

Jadilah sebelum berangkat, kita pesen voucher online di Batara Watersport, ni link nya: www.e-kuta.com banyak pilihannya. Kita si karena penasaran sama scuba diving, jadi ambil paket scuba diving to' seharga 300rb sajah. Jadi berdua 2x300rb. lumayan lah yaa,, masih bisa ngemall pulang ke jakarta nanti ;p

Setelah transfer pembayaran dan konfirmasi jam kedatangan, laju lah kita ke Tanjung Benoa, naek motor lewat tol laut yang sempet kontroversial karena berbuntut pada persetujuan reklamasi Teluk Benoa. Hmm... apa itu reklamasi Teluk Benoa? nanti kita bahas ya? atau kalau penasarannya sekarang, monggo tanya-tanya om Google aja seputar berita Tolak Reklamasi Teluk Benoa ini.

I was so exciting and Norak, karena baru ini, bawa motor and boleh masuk tol dengan hanya bayar Rp.4000,-
Mantab.

Eiya, judulnya kan Scuba diving for Hijabers ya? ko malah ngalor-ngidul gini ya ;p

Yuk, lanjut.
Sampe di Batara Water sport, teryata rame...yang lagi flying fish, yang lagi para sailing, yang snorkling, huahaha, mantab..;D

Pas daftar, terus diajak pilih baju diving, ternyataaaaa... ga ada yang panjang buat cewee.. adanya tangan pendek, bawahnya juga pendek.
Wet suit scuba diving nya kan warna hitam, aku pake celana abu-abu lebar gitu. hmm.. jadi nyesel kenapa ga bawa baju renang or celana ledging hitam.

Jadi, kalau temen-temen hijabers mau pergi scuba diving and tetap syar'i, ini tips nya:
1. Pakai kaos street hitam untuk dalam nya. Bra nya pakai yang sport, jadi ga engap dan ga berat nafas didalam air  nya.
2. Pakai celana ledging bahan kaos yang ga terlalu ketat, tapi  juga ga terlalu longgar - kalo longgar nanti berat didalam air.
3. Kaos and ledging nya dipake sebelum pake wetsuite.
4. Oiya, untuk jilbabnya, biar ga ribet dan pengap karena kita harus pake tabung dan alat pernapasan plus kacamata diving nantinya, pakai daleman ninja antem yang tertutup bagian belakang nya.
Atau, bisa juga pake penutup kepala yang baju otomatis dapet kalau kita beli baju renang jilbaber.
Kalau ga pake penutup kepala, nanti ga asik, pas di foto, rambut kita ngambang-ngambang gitu di air -__-
5. Jangan lupa pake Sun Protection Lotion ya biar kulitnya ga terlalu gosong ;)
6. Kalau bisa, sebelum jajal scuba, sambil berenang di kolam renang, belajar pake kacamata snorkel yang nafasnya dari mulut, and belajar tenang, ga gugup.
Untuk yang ini, saya mengaku ngeyel pada suami yang selalu bilang; "ayo doong. latihan snorkel, biar nanti kalau tiba-tiba liburan dan harus water sport dah bisa.." dan saya selalu punya alasan untuk males latihan yang akhirnya nyeseeelll pas coba scuba diving and harus berusaha tenang dengan bernafas dari mulut -__-
7. Berdoaa sebelum dan sesudah nya, jugaaaa pada saat menikmati keindahan bawah laut ciptaan Tuhan. Dijamin hidup jadi lebih hidup ;)

Yaiy! Bali!!

Hello!

I'm currently sitting in my office and suppose to do what i'm supposed to do. However, it's a day before Christmas and a week before New Year. It's a holiday session. So my brain hibernates before my order. LOL.

Anyway, Last week on 18th December I went to Jogja for my friend's wedding. It was Thursday, I went with my husband and had packed for 4 days trip without a real plan where to spend those 4 days at.

Jakarta- Jogja we flew earliest flight of Air Asia with a quite low price - promo ticket. Hehe.


After attended the Wedding, we decided to go to Bali by Bus. Yes, we're riding Bus from Joga - Denpasar.
We were sooo excited as this was our first time to be in Bali, and it's unplanned. Haha!

Only 1 bus available for this route, it's Safari Dharma Raya. A quite nice bus with 2 - reclining seats, comfy enough to let you sit on it for 19-20 hrs trip.

The price for the ticket is Rp. 310.000,- each and that fare includes Diner and snacks. No drinking water on board, so make sure you have enough drinking water for you.
Toilet with limited water is available, so, prepare your wet tissue ;) #justincase
Also, full-charged your phone and power bank; don't use your phone unless it's necessary and you don't really need your 3G or HSDPA connection as it will drain your battery faster. Enjoy the moment - share later ;)

The bus went off at 3.15 pm from Yogyakarta. Bali! here we come!
Along the way, I slept and slept like a tired horse. Hahaha - so I don't really have perfects pictures and stories to share.
We stopped twice that night, for dinner and toilet business at the gas station.

5a.m Friday morning, I woke up to the sun - rise along Banyuwangi coastal area. Heading to Ketapang seaport.
Beautiful...

6a.m  we reached Ketapang seaport and ready to cross to Gillimanuk seaport.
This will take 1hour. Prepare your sun-glasses to cover your panda eyes ;p

7a.m we reached Gilimanuk. Prepare your Identity Card as there will be Identity inspection at the exit gate of the port.

7.45 a.m - off we go to Denpasar which will take 3-4hours. Oh ya, there is time difference already, bali have 1 hour faster. Don't consult your watch, ask your smartphone, it will automatically adjust to the local time for you.

Gilimanuk - Denpasar, don't sleep, please. The road is up and downs with sharp turns, you'll get dizzy and car-sick if you sleep. Or if you think sleep is better, don't wake up until you reach Denpasar, but you will miss the beautiful view along the way.

Arriving in Denpasar, you will be at Mengwi Bus Terminal. This terminal is special for AKAP Bus (Bus Antar Kota Antar Propinsi). They will have TAXI and Travel Car to get to Denpasar.
Taxi will fit for 4 pax with approximately Rp. 100k - 150k to get you to Sanur area.
Travel car will count you Rp. 75k each pax. to get you to Sanur.
So, be smart :)

We choose Sanur area because it's more "family" and "honeymoon" feels. while Kuta will be very crowded with all hotels, clubs and pubs.
Also, for Muslim like us, Sanur have more choices of Halal food then anywhere else.

Getting off from travel Car in Sanur, We decided to have lunch first, then look for the hotel or inn.

I tried to browse the hotel and inn that meet our budget. hehe, not that luxury hotel off course.

We went to Sindhu Beach area, and found this little Homestay that offer an air-conditioned room for Rp.150k/night only.
It's called LiLA homestay. Quite nice for that money.

After that loooong ride, the bed looks inviting. so we had rest for a while and planned the rest of the trip.

After a fresh shower, we're ready to dig in what's Bali has to offer.
Let's go! we had a nice afternoon walk in Sindhu Beach and met adorable boy from Kazaan, Rusia who spent his winter here with his Mom :)

Pernah Ngerasa mati gaya kalau koneksi internet mati? Pasti!

Haha, padahal dulu tanpa internet, 24 jam berjalan tanpa harus terhenti kan? 

How the world have changed then. 

Ngomong-ngomong soal jaman dulu yang tanpa internet, jadi inget lambang offline nya Google Chrome kalau HP kita ga terkoneksi internet. Ngeh ga kalau lambangnya itu Dinosaurus? Hahaha.. kesannya Purba banget ya masa-masa sebelum inetenet itu ;p #dasargooogle :D 

Kalau temen-temen lupa, ni snapshot chrome browser dimanapun kalau offline (yang ini eike ambil dari browser chrome di android Samsung S4) 

Buat yang pake android - ehm, saya sendiri pake iOS ni, jadi fitur ni ga ada di Chrome browser para pengguna iPhone -__-

Tunggu, tunggu, ini mau bahas apa si? haha, tenang,,, mau kasih tau aja sama temen2 pengguna android yang super galau kalau gabisa browsing disaat boring yang genting, 

Itu dinosaurus offline nya bisa dijadiin Games lho! 

Yes, your offline dinosaur can turn into a flappy dino games - just like a flappy bird game ;-D 

Cobain aja,, pas offline.. ga ada internet.. buka Chrome Browser nya, teruss.. pas dinosaurus nya muncul.. pencet dah tu si dino.. langsung keluar track nya, dan bisa kita mainin dia ngeloncatin kaktus-kaktus. 

Kalau kaktus nya kena yaaaa Game Over :D
